LockedBuilding on Newton's laws and energy concepts, students will tackle more complex mechanical systems. By the end of this course, students will be able to analyze circular and rotational motion, apply the law of universal gravitation, and model oscillatory systems like springs and pendulums.

LockedStudents will extend their mechanics knowledge to rotating systems, rigid body dynamics, and fluid mechanics. By the end of this course, students will be able to solve complex rotational problems using torque and angular momentum, analyze the statics and dynamics of rigid bodies, and apply fluid pressure and flow principles to real-world engineering scenarios.

Level 400
LockedStudents will master the elegant analytical framework of Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics and apply it to complex, real-world systems. By the end of this course, students will be able to derive equations of motion for constrained systems, analyze coupled oscillators and normal modes, and complete a capstone project modeling a sophisticated mechanical system.
